💰 Acorns Investments Review From An Investing Dummy💰

What? So let me tell you about Acorns and how it took the guesswork out of things for me, and how, passively, from $5-$10 a month since 2019, I have grown my investment portfolio to over $3k.     So let's get into some details of why I love Acorns, besides the fact that it's super simple and easy to use to make passive income without trying...

    The first thing you’ll notice about Acorns is how intuitive and user-friendly it is. From signing up to choosing your investment portfolio, the app walks you through each step with simple language and clean visuals. No confusing stock charts or financial jargon—just straightforward questions about your goals, timeline, and risk tolerance. I don't know how any of this works, and they make it super simple and easy to pick what I want based on what seems reasonable to me.

    My favorite feature that Acorns has is the "Round-Ups" tool. You can connect your debit or credit cards, and Acorns will automatically round up each purchase to the nearest dollar and invest the difference. This is what really let the ball start rolling on my investments. I went from consciously investing $5-$10 a month to $26-$36. The less I spent, the more I saved, and the more I spent, the more I also saved! Win-win! (Remember, I'm simple...)

    Acorns also offers an FDIC-insured checking account with no minimum balance fees and no overdraft fees. The account integrates seamlessly with your investing goals, like "smart deposit": Automatically allocate a portion of your paycheck into investing or retirement. I personally do not bank with them, but have considered it because of how streamlined and easy it makes it to invest by banking with them. Plus, it's online, which is super easy!

    For those planning for retirement (I never think of this tbh), Acorns offers a Roth or Traditional IRA through its “Acorns Later” plan. You don’t need to be a financial expert—Acorns recommends the best retirement portfolio based on your goals and helps you invest consistently, even if it’s just a few dollars at a time. I have a Roth IRA through them as well as my investing account, and it's amazing how far I've come since 2019 just from a few bucks a month. Without it, I would literally have approximately $0 saved for retirement, lol! Is the amount I have crazy significant? Not yet, but it sure aint $0 like it would have been if I hadn't signed up for Acorns.
